- Always dry-clean pure silk saris to preserve the fabric’s sheen and colour.
- Avoid Washing at Home: Never machine wash; water and detergents can damage silk fibres.
- Store in a Cool, Dry Place: Keep saris away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- Wrap each sari in a soft cotton or muslin cloth before storing to allow it to breathe.
- Refold the sari every 3–4 months to prevent permanent creases and tearing along folds.
- Instead, use neem leaves or silica gel packets to prevent insects and moisture.
- Use a low-heat setting, or steam-iron the reverse side with a thin cloth on top.
